Monday Morning Story Time

February

Story Time
February 1^st - "Lets Go Shopping"... We will be using the story time kit called "Going Shopping" today. We will also have a pretend store set up for each story time friend to make a special purchase.
February 8^th - "Valentines Day"... We will be reading a special Valentines Day story today. We will also have a Valentines Day party with our friends. Your child may bring in valentines and treats to pass if you wish.
February 15^th - "President's Day"... The library will be CLOSED in observation of President's Day.
February 22^nd - "My Neighborhood"... We will be learning about all the people and places in our community today.


Craft Night
February 4^th - "Valentine Heart Animals"... We will be making different animals of our choice with all the different sized hearts.
February 11^th - "Valentines Heart Crown"... We will be making crowns from paper plates, hearts and glitter.
February 18^th - "Brown Bear Puppets"... We will be making a bear puppets with a brown bag and other colored paper.
February 25^th - "Marble Painting"... We will be making our own special painting using marbles and different colored paint.

March

Story Time
March 1^st - "One Red Square"... We will be using the story time kit "One Red Square" and learning about shapes and colors.
March 8^th - "Pet Day"... We will be reading about pets that people have in their home. You may bring a picture of your pet to share with everyone.
March 15^th - "St. Patrick's Day"... We will be talking about shamrocks and leprechauns in honor of St. Patrick's Day. We will also be looking for a special pot of gold.
March 22^nd - "Travel"... We will be reading about all the different ways to travel to get to places, such as trains, planes and automobiles.
March 29^th - "Easter Stories and Egg Hunt"... We will start with an Easter Egg Hunt throughout the library. Then we will be reading a story about the Easter Bunny and other Easter things. Your child may bring a treat to pass out if you wish.


Craft Night
March 4^th - "Paint Stampers"... We will be making our own special pictures by using foam stamps and sponges.
March 11^th - "St. Pats Shamrocks"... We will be painting our own special shamrocks out of green paint, paper and glitter.
March 18^th - "Duck Paper Plate"... We will be making ducks out of paper plates and colored paper.
March 25^th - "Pussy Willow Pictures"... We will be making special pictures with Q-tips, pipe cleaners and paper.
