September and October
Storytime Schedule

    September Monday Morning Storytime
    3 Year Olds: 10:15am - 10:45am
    4 Year Olds: 11:00am - 11:30am

    September 13th "Going to School"
    We will start our first session together welcoming back our story time friends and getting to
    know our new ones. Our stories will be about the first day of school.

    September 20th "Green Day"
    Today is "green"day. All of our stories and flannel board activities will be about the color green.
    We will be reading about the "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", turtles and frogs.

    September 27th "Red Day"
    Today is "red" day and all of our stories and fingerplays will be about the color red.
    Some of our topics will be apples, fire trucks, Clifford and "The Little Red Hen".

    October Monday Morning Storytime
    3 Year Olds: 10:15am - 10:45am
    4 Year Olds: 11:00am - 11:30am

    October 4th "Getting Ready for Fall"
    We will be talking about all the things we see during the fall.
    We will be reading about the colorful leaves, scarecrows and squirrels.

    October 11th "Columbus Day"
    The Library will be CLOSED in observance of Columbus Day.

    October 18th "Orange Day"
    We will be reading about things that are orange, such as pumpkins.
    We will also be talking about Halloween things.

    October 25th "Halloween Party"
    We will be celebrating Halloween with a special story.
    Your child may dress in costume for our costume parade throughout the library.
    Your child may also bring a treat to pass if you wish.

    Thursday Night Activities Schedule

    September
    6:45pm - 7:30pm

    September 16th "Apple Stamping"
    Making pictures with apples and paint.

    September 23rd "Silly Scarecrows"
    Making silly scarecrows using popsicle sticks,
    styrofoam balls, felt, paper and yarn.

    September 30th "Fall Colored Sponge Painting"
    We will be making a sponge painting with all of the Fall colors such as
    yellow, orange, red, brown and green.

    October
    6:45pm - 7:30pm

    October 7th "Pumpkin Wreath"
    We will be making our own special wreaths out of different shaped
    pumpkins and a paper plate.

    October 14th "Spiders"
    We will be making creepy spiders out of paper, glue and googly eyes.

    October 21st "Funny Masks"
    We will be designing our own special masks.

    October 28th "Halloween Costume Party"
    7:00-8:00pm (Age Pre-K to 5th grade)
    Come and join us as we dress up in costume for a night of fun.
    We will have a Halloween story, dance to the Monster Mash and share a spooky treat.
    We will also have a parade outside, weather permitting.
